The stages of behavioral psychology at the event

The rapid advancement of AI technology is a topic that's constantly in the spotlight nowadays, and our industry hasn't been left untouched. I fully embrace and strive to optimize event processes to the maximum thanks to AI.

However, there's one thing we tend to forget: AI lacks feelings and emotions. That's why I recalled one of my lectures on the topic:

“Emotional development of the project from the participant's perspective. Or the stages of behavioral psychology at the event”.

I'm happy to share these stages with you. It's important to continue balancing AI with these considerations when developing a new concept for any event.

The stages are divided proportionally to the number of hours/days of the event duration.

Stage I. Adaptation:

This accounts for 60% of your event's success. Guests should feel needed and find answers to questions like where the restroom is, where the fire exits are, where the gifts are, and where the stage is. The most important question is: "Why am I here?" When a person calmly exhales, starts socializing with other guests, or has a drink, it means the next stage has begun.

Stage II. Talent Show or Showing Off:

This is the stage where event guests showcase their brightest qualities, charisma, and even demonstrate what they can do or possess. Don't forget to let guests unleash their inner potential. A good example from children's events is when a child answers: "Well, my dad actually has a BMW car, and my older brother is a boxer." At conferences, this stage usually showcases each person's achievements in their field of expertise.

P.S. Try mixing an adult conference with children's answers. It's quite amusing, isn't it?! That's how things happen in the event world.

Stage III. Theory:

This is the period when guests are ready to listen to speeches, absorb useful theory, and learn like sponges because they've already showcased all their strengths :)

Stage IV. Practical:

Here, people are behaviorally ready to apply what they've learned in theory and, inspired, share it with their colleagues. And here's a question for you: What if it's a corporate party?! Try answering that question :)

Stage V. Readaptation:

This is essentially the final concluding stage of the event. Its task is to ensure that guests don't see a sharp change in the atmosphere: from joy, fun, and dancing to "it's time to go home."

The goal of this stage is to leave a lasting impression of the event so that people remember it for a long time. Readapt your guests gently, do it with love, so that the theory and practice stages don't go in vain.

Good luck with your events!
